Perfumista Throws Birthday Bash at ZED451

Sometimes the best laid party plans don't always come to fruition. That's when a sensational hostess can pick up the best pieces and roll with the punches. Enter Kai Hsieh, co-creator of Celestine Perfume (Las Vegas' Molly Sims is a fan), who celebrated her big "3-0" on Friday, September 25 at Chicago hotspot, ZED451 (739 N. Clark Street).

Originally scheduled for the sunset-splashed rooftop, unexpected raindrops threatened to ruin the birthday girl's grand entrance. So the clever hostess whisked birthday-goers, including Luxe File Chicago's Kerry and Sally Shorr, to the spectacular bar downstairs where they sipped signature cocktails and nibbled colorful cupcakes late into the night.

The birthday girl, who was dressed like a bombshell in a Forever 21 black-and-white cocktail dress and black Christian Louboutin stilettos, didn't go unnoticed by her fashionphile friends. A fellow reveler commented, "I adore Kai's style. She always looks glamorous no matter what time it is!"

Now that's a party worth crashing.
